ARTFUSION 19464

ArtFusion 19464 is a non-profit community art center whose mission is to enrich the lives of the residents in the greater Pottstown area through the visual arts. Our goal is to spark creativity, build self-confidence and develop community bonds through education, mentoring and community service.

ACLAMO FAMILY CENTERS - POTTSTOWN

ACLAMO is the only full-service agency and safe heaven for Spanish speakers in Montgomery County. As a community service, the agency provides low-income Latinos and other disadvantaged residents of Montgomery County with improved access to resources and programs in education, health, employment, housing, and social services, especially those with limited English living in core residential neighborhoods of Norristown and Pottstown.

YWCA TRI-COUNTY AREA

YWCA Tri-County Area (YW3CA) is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. YW3CA remains a leader in women and girls' advocacy, works to eliminate racism and empower women through quality affordable childcare, adult literacy and a host of programs to support the health and vitality of women, girls, and families.

In Pottstown, we are committed to a culture of safety, understanding, and responsiveness to ACEs for children, families, and our community.

POTTSTOWN AREA REGIONAL RECREATION COMMITTEE (PARRC)

PARRC is a committee comprised of 6 municipalities in the Pottstown Metropolitan Region, the Pottstown-Area Health and Wellness Foundation (PAHWF), the Schuylkill River Greenway Association (SRGA) and a full-time Parks and Recreation Coordinator committed to improving the parks, recreational opportunities and open spaces in the Region.

VICTIM SERVICES CENTER OF MONTGOMERY COUNTY

Victim Services Center (VSC) is a non-profit organization located in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania that provides free and confidential comprehensive support services to crime victims, their families, and significant others; prevention education and risk reduction programs, and training to the professionals who work with the victims of these crimes. All services are provided free of charge to those who request assistance.

Montgomery County Health Department provides a variety of public health services to the community including immunization services, STD/HIV testing and treatment, nurse home-visiting programs for pregnant women and parents of young children, water quality services, and inspections of restaurants, swimming pools, and campgrounds. TRICOUNTY AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

TriCounty Area Chamber of Commerce (TCACC), the tri-county region's business advocate since 1927, is a membership based organization serving businesses in southeastern Berks, western Montgomery, and northern Chester Counties, as well as along the Route 422 Corridor.

ALTHOUSE ARBORETUM

The Althouse Arboretum, run by GreenAllies, is a 17 acre open space property used to promote environmental preservation and education for an entire community and beyond. The Arboretum boasts Children’s Forest Trail, Native Plant Garden, Raised Garden Beds, Two Forest Classrooms, 1 mile + of hiking trails, Low Ropes Course, Summer Camps, scheduled community activities and more!

COMMUNITY HEALTH & DENTAL CARE

It is the mission of Community Health and Dental Care to identify gaps in health services and to ensure access to appropriate levels of care for all people in the service area regardless of their ability to pay. We are a non-profit health center that provides primary care medical and dental services to all regardless of insurance status. We accept patients with our without insurance and provide health care discounts based on income and family size using the federal poverty guidelines. Our role in this community is to provide affordable, accessible and quality healthcare to all regardless of a patient’s insurance status. We accept Medicaid, Medicare and most private insurances. For those that are uninsured or underinsured, a healthcare discount is applied for those that qualify. Our discount is based upon income and the federal poverty schedule. For those that do not qualify for the discount, we offer reduced rates for services along with payment plans.

Habitat’s mission is to eliminate poverty housing. Partnering with caring individuals and organizations, Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County constructs simple, decent, affordable homes and empowers hardworking, low-income families to become homeowners by providing no-interest mortgages with which to buy them.

Since 1900, Family Services has been caring for children, seniors and families in Montgomery County who face everyday emotional difficulties or physical hardships. I am an information and referral specialist with Montgomery County. The general public can call with just about any human service need and I direct them to the goods and services to meet those needs. I frequently give phone numbers to local agencies for food pantry, legal support, Veterans Services, Home Health Care, Child Care, etc. The Community Connections Office does not have funds to pay bills or save residents from eviction but I can provide employment resources and housing resources to help them, help themselves through a crisis. I can also do minor advocacy if a resident is stuck and having difficulty accessing a particular service.

STEM You Can! is a student led non-profit organization which provides free, engaging STEM programs for elementary and middle school girls and students in low-income areas. High school students teach fun experiments and activities to expose kids to science topics. These programs run both as summer camps and after-school workshops.
